Thanks Steve.  I was going to maiden voyage them today, but it happened to be one of the 5 days a year that it rains in AZ.

Ran the jeep last weekend with the roughed out shell doors to make sure I like them, before proceeding.  They worked out great, offering a little protection from bushes and keeping the heat in down low.  I plan to cap them with sheet metal.  Then make some padded door panels and insert the inside door openers....but, project is on hold for a few weeks.

Well, finally started back on the doors.  Framed all 4 door tops with 1/4 CRD.  I have a 4 drawer file donor cabinet for the tops.

Topped them with 20ga CR.  Now just a little bondo to clean them up, and then paint them

Looks good Kent. You should cut a cup holder into the flat part before you paint them.

Well Charlie...you got me dreaming about how to put in the cup holders.  I have it figured out.  Just have to find someone in abq with a large hole saw!

Yeah, think I might have something worked out to get the holes cut this week. ;D

Here's the doors with light bondo and sanded.  They are really coming out nice.  Sound very solid when they shut.  I'm liking them a lot!
